Over 250 lbs of Pink Lady apples were turned into more than 17 dozen jars of delicious apple butter on June 12

On June 12 a baker’s dozen hard working Grange Ladies processed over 250 lbs of Pink Lady apples into 210 half-pint jars to sell at our upcoming Hunters Breakfast, as well as 19 quarts of apple butter to serve with the pancakes we make for all those hunger hunters and friends at this popular fundraising event.  After taste-testing on day two we voted this the best tasting apple butter we’ve ever made!  Thank you to Patti and Jim Gylling for donating all of these apples – plus the other 200 lbs that were given out at the Rest Stop Fundraiser.  And many thanks to the gals in the kitchen – Candy Allen, Bev Allenbaugh, Donna Carollo, Dawn Crowley, Jeri Downs, Liz Doyle, Carole Engstrom, Kath   Fraser, Barb Hamel, Gerry Lloyd, Claire Lucke, Sandi Peck and Lynn                                                                                          Wargo.

On the outside of the building, we want to thank our faithful grass cutter Gary Wargo for the great job he does keeping our lawn looking lush and beautiful.  Also to Dennis Giannotti who helps out with mower maintenance and mowing when Gary isn’t available.  And the grass would not be so green without the daily sprinkler settings taken care of by Kurt Lucke and Bill Lloyd.

Thank you to everyone who helps keep our Grange Hall beautiful and inviting.  Your care shows, we get compliments whenever we show the hall or have people out for events.
