The first quarter of 2016 has been busy and fun at the Swauk-Teanaway Grange. Here are a few highlights:
Patti and Jim Gylling did a fabulous job on this year’s Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner on Feb 20. Combined with donations that members sent in with their dues, about $3,000 was raised that will go directly to scholarships! Thank you to all who helped plan, cook, serve, sell tickets and to everyone who came out to the dinner and all those who donated generously to this effort. Your support will make it possible to fund three scholarships this year!
We had a kitchen-full of smiling volunteers at the Chili Cook Off & Cowboy Concert on March 12. Thank you to Jim Fossett of the NKC Tribune for gathering all the ladies in the kitchen for a group photo. Not pictured, but a huge help that night, were several hubbies – Lee Wilcox, Travis Bernritter and Louie Osmonovich and friend Wes Jones.
